  A darn good burger. Good greasy spoon burger, no frills just good flavor. The location is really crazy. It's worth the drive because it's an old mercantile building sitting on a swamp. Order the fried pickles for an app!

  I live close and thought let's try again . Well I had hamburger steak with mashed potatoes, greens,brown beans, we also shared fried green tomatoes. My mom had the regular sized hamburger with fries and onion rings. We both cut into our meat ate a couple of bites and looked at each other and said what was this. The meat was gray like it was boiled in water it was not cooked on a grill there was no sear at all . No toast on her bun , gravy was out of a jar and potatoes were instant. So what has happened to this place ? For $34.00 man I was really disappointed.

  Below average dive diner with my personal opinion. Wife and I had lunch here on a Saturday... the Burger was of little flavor. DO NOT ORDER CAT FISH, seems (tasted) the oil was burnt. Was very busy and staff was ok, nothing special to note with wait service. Appeared to be a dramatic drop in food quality after talking with coworkers that had ate here. Prices were reasonable if the food was tasty... but, food taste really drove this rating to one star. Place was not that clean but could be attributed to the busy lunch crowd. Dirt parking across the street...ugh, after car was washed. RATING IS ONE STAR.
